“Why? Am I not allowed?”
Grace sighed in disappointment at the answer.
“I just want to see why the lamp is still on here. The office clerk might have forgotten to turn it off. There should not be excess use of electricity,” said Evan. He kept a straight face looking at Grace. “Why are you still here? Haven’t you finished working? And why? Aren’t you known as the best employee who can always complete her tasks on time?”
Grace shook her head weakly. “There are times when people are at their lowest, right? And today is the day for me, Evan," she told him. "Perhaps I could have avoided today if you didn't turn a deaf ear as if you heard nothing and thus let people bring me down."
