Chapter 57. Confidence
A smile appeared on Grace’s right cheek. “I will. But please, promise me that you won’t do it again next time, OK?” she asked.
Evan grinned from ear to ear at her words. “I promise. Now, off you go. There’s around fifteen minutes before the test begins,” he said, giving a gentle pat on Grace’s back.
A long sigh of relief escaped Vino’s mouth all of a sudden. Evan and Grace immediately directed their gaze to him right away. That was when Evan figured out that his secretary was the one letting the cat out of the bag.
As Grace caught Evan’s way of seeing Vino which implied another hidden message, she then commented, “Don’t you dare mess with Vino. He’s done nothing wrong.”
“Ooh, Vino, how close have you been with Grace that she’s got your back?” Evan narrowed his eyes, acting as if examining a criminal. “Ah, then I can’t do anything to you for what you’ve done.” He sighed and chuckled.
Vino discreetly felt so happy, knowing that his boss wouldn’t get angry
