He released her as swiftly as he had taken hold of her, and then he began to move towards the door. Over his retreating shoulder he said. “You know where to find me if I can do anything for Tim. Goodnight.”

Minutes later Katherine sat on the couch, unable to move. Wondering if she had made the right decision… Had she lost him forever because she couldn’t let go of her fears.

He didn’t need this crap. Jensen thought as he got into his car. Starting the engine, he pulled away from Katherine’s driveway and into the road at a pace faster than safe. For a moment anger ruled.
