Chapter 16. Hold Me, Baby

Just thinking about it made him feel a surge of desire again. He was once more being consumed by the fire that Emerald ignited in him.

As Emerald began to sense the presence beside her, she slowly opened her eyes. She immediately saw the man standing silently behind her in the mirror.

In an instant, Alaric was right behind her, wrapping his arm around her waist. Emerald's back was pressed tightly against his chest, and his strong, muscular arms were visible beneath the wide sleeves of his robe. With a gentle squeeze, he emphasized the curve of Emerald's chest even more.

"What's this you're applying for? It smells just like you... It's good," Alaric commented as he inhaled the scent from her neck, gently brushing his lips against her skin.

Emerald could see Alaric close his eyes as he breathed in her scent, then lightly kissed her neck. Her face heated up, and she gasped for air. She quickly calmed herself before lifting the product she was using so Alaric could see
