Chapter 18. Teach Me

Emerald brushed off the thought, stood up, and wrapped her arm around his neck.She intentionally rubbed her body against his, but Alaric suddenly grabbed her trembling hand while there's a small smirk on his lips.

"Do you call this having fun, Miss Greene?" Alaric's voice was cold, as if he wasn't pleased with what she was doing.

Emerald didn't back down and met his challenging gaze. 

"Why? Do you want me to do something for you? Name it, Mr. Corrigan."

Alaric's grin widened, and he raised an eyebrow. He leaned in slightly and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"You're so cute, Miss Greene. There are still so many things that haven't been learned yet, so why should I let you go so easily? Do you think I will let you off easily, huh?" Alaric playfully said to her.

Emerald blinked rapidly at what she heard. So he really did know what she had been planning all along. Is that why he had reacted this way?

"Like what?" Emerald asked nervously.
