Chapter 26. Emerald's Mission

Emerald sighed. She didn't have much choice but to comply.

"I can do that, sir, but please don't expect me to convince Mr. Corrigan," she replied. She didn't even know how to approach him! Just last night, she told him she didn't want to see him or have any connection with him anymore!

The principal smiled at her, while she struggled to force a smile in return.

"I know you can do it, Teacher Greene. You're capable, and I believe the principal position should belong to a person like you."

Their conversation ended there, and just as expected, she wasn't able to refuse him. The moment she stepped out of his office, the smile disappeared from her lips.
