"You thought that I'll never get my pound of flesh after Matteo embarrassed and sent me out of the house because of you." She snarled, and snapped her fingers.

One of the guards who was with her left the room and came back with a chair for her to sit on, which got me wondering how she got those kinds of men to work for her after she was sent out from Matteo's house.

"It wasn't my fault that Matteo had eyes for me instead of you. You were old news and I loved him genuinely." I retorted sharply, not minding that I could be killed with just a snap or a nod.

"I wonder how he will feel if he discovers that you actually planned to kill him at first." She drawled, her annoying smirk coming to play.
