Chapter 5. Working
BARRY
I must admit that the dinner was very good, and the taste reminded me of my paternal grandmother's way of cooking, she was a wonderful and very loving woman, she was like my mother, she was always there for me, taking care of me and giving me love. Unfortunately, I am alone, as the only relatives I had have left me alone little by little, and yet I am now on the verge of starting my own family, thanks to a crazy clause in my father's will.
Kelly squeezes my hand, so I take her hint. I clear my throat and sheepishly say, "We have to go," Kelly's mother makes a sad face, but nods in agreement.
"Yes, I'll be visiting often, I swear," Kelly excuses herself, hugs her mum, and then her dad, who seems to accept the idea of marriage. I think they all accepted it well, except for the twins, but from then on, even though they didn't know anything about it, they were very happy.
