Chapter 100. Eighty Coins

Selene's POV

I woke up from a bad dream and chased my breath when I sat up on the bed. I held my chest and felt the sweats dropping all over my face. I recalled the scared expression of the omega as Alpha Remus was nearing him to plan in devouring him. The forced indulge of the guests to continue partying even though there was a tragedy that had transpired in the middle of the hall.

How heartless. How cruel!

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, but my throat was parched. I was thirsty in the middle of the night, so I had to go outside in my room and fetch some water from the kitchen.

"Just pay him! You do not want to mess with him. He might kill you, you know!"

It was my mom's voice when I opened the door of my room.

"I know," I heard my father's voice reply to him. "But I still have no coins. The animals in the forest are constantly vanishing. Or else, they are found dead and full of maggots. I don't know what is happening to
