Chapter 123. It Is Time to Go Home

“Your Highness!” the assassins exclaimed and were about to attend to me, but I raised my hand to stop them.

“It is fine. D-Don’t worry about me,” I said and chased my breath.

I held my stomach, checking if it was fine even though I would never find out anyway. I just hope that the protection Zach and Countess Marissa put on my daughter is strong enough to block the attacks.

“The gods and goddesses might have made a mistake and chose you as the guardian of the magic crystal,” I heard Selene say as she landed on the ground. “You cannot even defeat me in a single battle. The magic crystal does not belong to you.”

I looked up to see her smiling down at me. She then turned to the right side, making me look. I saw Victor and Freya, struggling to stand. Uriel was standing in front of them.

“Uriel, son of Alpha Remus,” Selene called him. “Why don’t you come here and do me the honor of executing the fake guardian?”
