Madeline’s POV

“My help?” I asked and even pointed at myself. “How could I help you and Uriel? I mean, what I know is that you are getting weaker day by day. That was what Victor informed me a while ago in the conference room.” I gazed at Uriel. “He told Victor that he plans to transform in the night to see your condition because, in his dreams, you are paralyzed and hurt.”

The white wolf nodded. It had brown eyes, like Uriel’s. It has a blue aura surrounding the head. He was above the body of Uriel which was carried by Victor, as if he was a spirit that came out from the alpha.

"It is true," Zach answered, "and if this prolongs, I will die together with Uriel."

My skin crawled. I was taken aback. Impulsive desperation possessed me.

"What is entirely wrong? And what can I do to help?" I said with conviction. "I cannot just let you and Uriel be dead. I need the both of you. And I would do anything just to save you."
