Chapter 89. Burning
Darius' POV
I knew morning had come when my consciousness woke me up. When I was about to open my eyes, I heard footsteps coming towards my bed. It was too late to see who it was when I felt an excruciating pain due to the hot water that was poured on my legs. I screamed as I sat up and looked at my legs which were reddening due to the hot water.
"Why the hell did you do that?! What the hell?!"
It was a servant who was trembling in fear and with tears in her eyes as I shouted at her while she ran away. She was holding a silver basin, but I could not care about the details now. I was crying for help as I was screaming because it was burning my skin.
"Help! Somebody!"
Someone walked again, and I was about to command to help me, but I stopped when my mother came in. She was in her black gown with her red lipstick on. She raised her forehead and smirked at me.
"I told you to report to me. Why didn't you?" she coldly asked.
