Chapter 34. Fill All Your Hole

Zoe's POVI respect it. I know he doesn't have to tell me where he is or where he is going but is it such a huge issue if I ask him? He claimed he was going to work, but I arrived late because he said he would pick me up, but it's been an hour and no one has picked me up. Even when I reached the office, there was no Adams to speak with. Because I'm scared, it's not a big concern for him to say he'll be late.

In my chest, a bitter fury welled up. There appears to be a boundary between us, and if I cross it, something horrible will happen to me. It's as though his world is hard to crack. It's difficult to tell what or who he is. I want to take his hand in mine and ask him what his favorite color is, but why do we seem so far apart?

When he walked inside his office, I noticed a few spots of blood on the inside of his polo shirt. I simply averted my gaze and did not ask any further inquiries. I don't want to ask, so I'll simply let him tell if he wants to. I don't want to be
