The plan was simple!

All I needed to do was create some distance between Daniel and myself, informing him that I required space to concentrate solely on my work and making it clear that I had no romantic interest in him.

That was the initial plan, but here I was, applying foundation to my face and rummaging through my wardrobe in search of an appropriate outfit. Why? Because Daniel had called, asking me out on a date.

I should have promptly declined his invitation, reiterating my need to focus on my work and forsake any distractions. However, I did the complete opposite. I not only agreed to go on the date but also allowed him to pick me up.
