Chapter 24

During the day, Hajun calls me a few times, and even though I feel a bit awkward, I manage to deliver everything he asks for.

As I reach the end of my first day of work, I'm feeling quite pleased with myself. I thought it would be more challenging, but Sun Hajun seems to be a good boss, and he had enough patience to answer the few questions I had, so the day turned out to be quite productive for a new beginning in my rather uneventful life.

When I finally leave the company, I initially think about heading to the nearest bus stop to go straight home, but I curse myself when my thoughts immediately turn to another place.

I distanced myself, I should be the one wanting to keep my distance, but my heart keeps urging me to go to that apartment and spend some time there, easing the overwhelming longing I feel. Yet, I create a big dilemma in my mind when I'm standing in front of the company building, thinking about what I should really do next.
