Chapter 23
The man I see sitting in a large chair behind a rectangular desk, cluttered with papers, accessories, and his computer, is utterly intimidating and different from what I saw at the club. Completely different. He looks at me from there and then stands up, adjusting one of the buttons on his suit as I walk – praying he won't notice that I'm almost trembling.
As I approach, I swallow nervously, feeling entirely overwhelmed, and I see something that startles me even more as I come to a halt. A smile.
Sun Hajun smiles in such a warm and inviting way that I feel strange for suddenly feeling a bit more at ease.
"Mr. Jeong, please have a seat," he gestures to the chair in front of him, taking his own seat once again.
"Good morning, Mr. Sun," I bow before taking my seat. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
He waves off my formalities and gestures with a casual hand.
"No formalities, please. Just call me Hajun,&q
