Chapter 73. Walking into Guests
I have always considered hospital nights to be the longest nights of my life. Expect this time around. I spent the night surrounded by two amazing people—the love of my life and her mother. Ooh, yes. None of our pleas for her to head home bore fruit. The woman is a turquoise gem. We spent a few hours talking and eating until I was so exhausted. They both tucked me under the duvet, and I am sure most of them talked until dawn.
I really enjoyed the company. I would have wished to stay until morning and savor more of last night, but my baby called me to retire to bed. It reminded me of those times my mother was with me. I felt like she was around me last night. But I know she is resting with angels, because that is exactly where she belongs, with the angels.
