Chapter 11. Cupid's Messenger
The campus buzzed with fresh gossip about the raid. Some said the attackers were robbers, some said they were political thugs, but we knew they were cultists. As if that was not enough, I heard more from Anna, who insisted I needed to interact with people to get information. Besides the attack, the latest news was that some students who had mysteriously skipped out on most of the semester were back on campus. Anna told me they were known for throwing wild parties and causing trouble on campus. They were a mix of seniors in their third year or final year.
“So, you are telling me they skipped out of campus just like that, no lectures, nothing?” I asked. Anna nodded and lifted another spoon of steaming jollof rice into her mouth. We were at the cafeteria for lunch.
