Chapter 24

George's POV 

"Dr George?" The director called me. I was lost in thoughts, but immediately he called me, I came back to my senses.

"Yes sir," I snapped. "Yes?"

"Hm-mm," he stammered. He didn't expect me to address him as such. I was the prince and as one of the royal privileges, I could address anyone outside of the royal family by name, even lesser ranks in the family.

"I wanted to ask for a week's leave. I want to look into certain things pertaining to my security and emotional wellbeing." I wanted to tell him this from the very beginning but his questions swiped my thoughts of it. It was crucial to my recovery process.

"Since it's an emergency, I guess there'll be no protocol."

"Yes, my prince but--"

I knew it was gonna be some objection but I'd already prepared my mind for an instance like this. I was a doctor at a general department, it was quite difficult because there were lots of patients calling in daily.
