Chapter 31

Mary's POV

"No, I haven't. I just you might tell someone without realizing that it's a very sensitive topic that could put us in trouble should people get to know about this."

She scoffed. "How's that even possible? Am I now a kid?"

"No, not at all. I'm sorry about that." I said I didn't want to drag further.

"It's okay babe," she agreed. "Be rest assured. I can't let anyone know about such a sensitive topic, okay?"

"I believe you!"

From several topics about our past and our goals, we bounced back to the issue at hand. "What do you think is our future? George and I?" I asked.

Since she had the instinct of knowing what was going on, I felt inclined to ask her. Just at this point, I heard the sound of the door behind her, someone walked in. A tall, dark guy with a cute smile.

"So sorry to interrupt you but the President is here?"

"Soon, he wants to meet with all the staff." I realized she was at work.
