Chapter 36

Mary's POV

I rushed down to the reception which was the major entrance to our apartment. I met with the young lady serving at the reception.

"Why are you panicky, your highness?" No one knew here that I wasn't the princess but her sister. She rushed out of her enclosed space, behind the counter to hold me.

"Please sit, ma'am." She was about to lead me to the couch just opposite us but I refused, shaking my head.

"This isn't something to sit on." I responded.

"Where is my husband?"

"He passed here a few minutes ago. I guess he's out for some important event or perhaps work, he was fully dressed." Each time he dressed so formally from the way the receptionist described, he was up for something important.

Tears brushed over my eyes. So he's really serious about this?

I pulled my phone out of my gown which had a side pocket, I quickly typed his name, then tapped on it, placing a call on him. My heart was heavy. I didn't want him to do this.
