Chapter 37

I headed to the nanny's quarters, where Louis, Lucy's five month old son was being taken care of. Seeing him, I ran towards him, smiling so hard. 

"Come on, I feel bad right now but I have to do this." I said deep inside of me. I haven't visited him for a long time, I should be taking him as my kid.

I didn't want to look like a wicked aunt or stepmother. Tears floated in my eyes when I saw the little boy look so sadly at me, he clutched to the nanny so tight, as if he didn't want to follow me.

"Heyy pumpkin," I tickled him. "I've come to see you today, sorry I didn't come in a long time but I'm here today."
