Chapter 44. You Are Being Watched!

“What did you find out?” Steven, a lean but sturdy young man in his late forties, asked Joe, his short and robust partner, who had just stepped out of the administrative building of the City's secretariat. 

Steve was sitting behind the wheel of a black van eating fries when Joe joined him with an absent look on his face. They had received the order to bring in a young werewolf who was hiding away in some remote village and before setting out, they had visited the city's secretariat to see if they could find some files related to the werewolf.  

“It's a family of four. A set of twins and their parents. There should be four wolves unless the boy was adopted.” Joe snorted, displeased about something but not saying more. 

“Fat chance.” Steve chuckled. “That means we have to pick up extra muscles.” He pointed out. 

“With Amie, we should manage just fine, don't you think?” Joe asked, giving Steven a deep look.
