Chapter 81. The Boss’s Spy

Liam’s POV

[Flashback continues]

“Don’t say anything unless he asks you. And don’t look him in the eye.”

Seeing Bugsy all riled up made me wonder who exactly we were going to meet.

The Bugsy I knew was always scared of no one. But the mystery man we were going to meet seemed to have that effect on him.

Everything about our trip had been mysterious. I couldn’t tell where we were or how we got there.

Bugsy said the Boss never stays in one place. He’s always moving and no one really knows where he’ll pop up next.

But I was lucky. I had come to Bugsy at the right time. A month earlier or later would have been useless. The Boss was a very busy man.

Everywhere was filled with armed men who absolutely no one would be stupid enough to cross.

At almost every point of our trip, we were searched from head to toes to ensure we carried absolutely nothing.

Finally, we made it to a dimly lit room that I believed was an office.
