One of my guards flashed his car headlights as he drove past me, and I honked back.
“We’ll try, Livia.” I moved my hand over the center console, and took hers.
“How did you figure it out? How did you figure out where he was?” She asked, and I sighed, keeping my eyes on the road because I was driving pretty fast despite this unexpected downpour.
I thought about that ambulance I had seen twice on the road here.
Once, when I dropped Henry off at the hospital, and next just before I drove over to the lane Olivia was driving in.
“It might not make any sense, but I think your brother may have had an episode and was taken to the hospital.” I said out loud, and her eyes were haunted before she looked away.
