He stood up, his sway even more noticeable. But he smiled brightly, and when Louise walked into the office he kissed her gently on both cheeks.
“And what would have been my excuse if something went wrong after you invested all your money in my company?”
“It’s all your wife’s money,” Louise stepped back with a smile. “The wife who you should be baking in the sun with somewhere in Santorini.”
Dean laughed now, and gestured to the empty couch beside mine, while shooting Colt a quick glance to stand up and say hello.
But Colt maintained the sleepy-eyed look as he stared at my aunt from where he filled out his seat. And I had to press my lips to hide my amusement.
