I chewed my food, watching Colt relax against his seat again like he had not just touched me at a moment where I could have choked.

But besides my now pulsing clit, my mind was enraptured by this information he had just shared. 

“So your dad takes advantage of this man’s tech knowledge, and hides in his study to consult him at every insurmountable tech headache in the company,” I said, and Colt nodded.

“It was during one of those calls the man talked about how the Nanobot could be better. I have no idea why Dad never acted on it,” he said quietly, his intense gaze making my heart race, his cool deep voice sending needles of delicious shocks running all over my skin. 

“And it is even a bigger mystery why my ten-year-old brain never forgot the keywords of that conversation.”

“Because you’re smart.”

This made him smile slowly, his eyes shining with delight.

“You think so?” 

I nodded.

“I mentioned this to a couple of nerds in
