Chapter 190. A Bounty
“The Gyehna?” Colt grimaced, his face contorting with the same confusion that must have been apparent on mine.
But his next words revealed that we were on a different scale on this wheel of ignorance. “What the hell would he have against me? And why did no one tell me this?”
I stared stupidly, who was this Gyehna? Why did he place a bounty on my head, and why did Colt think it had anything to do with him if the bounty was on my own head?
Axel pushed off the wall.
“I had no idea till I heard that fool who tried to stab her. He said ‘Gyehna sent kisses."
Axel grimaced now.
“It was on the drive here that I got the text from Sean.”
And as if on cue, Colt’s second friend turned the corner into the hallway we were standing in. I stared at the black man who was always quiet, and the least friendly of all three.
