Chapter 261. What Happened to Colt?

My eyes took in the entrance as we walked up the marble steps to the front door. This house had every quality of a family home.

I further confirmed this when we stepped into the living room. 

The room managed to pull off the rare feat of being homey yet elegant. Upholstered, ivory-velvet couches, satin and fur throw pillows, a sculpted gold and glass coffee table and solid drapes framing tall french windows.

“I’m sorry you'd visit my home for the first time under these conditions.” Axel smiled apologetically, stretching his hand to one of the couches.

I took my seat with a polite nod. 

I realized then that I had nothing, not my purse, gun, or even my phone. Colt, I was still too shaken to ask about him. 

But I was worried. What the hell happened to him? 

And would he be fine, especially exposed to Torrin like that who was obsessed with him.
