Chapter 281. She Is Going to Die
The surgeons scheduled me for the stem cell harvesting, as they tried to start conditioning regimen for Morvian.
Just before the skin prep began, I asked to see Olivia, and the nurse was gracious enough to let me out.
However, I was surprised to see support equipment like the oxygen masks were gone, replaced by just a small tube, and she was actually awake.
“Olivia?”
Sean, also in the ward, turned to me, and I smiled at his surprise as I walked towards Olivia. He had bid me goodbye, and thought I would be in the surgery theater already.
Olivia stared at me with a strange look, and for a second I feared she may have lost her memory.
She raised her arms then, and whispered my name. I almost fell right into her, reminding myself just at the last second to be careful.
She hugged my neck tightly, and I realized that Sean had taken away the thing I dreaded the most.
