Chapter 85. Fight for You
Mason’s POV
I rolled my shirt sleeves up and got onto my knees to seal the last box. My knees creaked with the movement, protesting that I had been overworking myself. Ava had to pack her stuff in the complex shop to move to the new building. She had limited staff and one of them called in sick, so I had no choice but to help.
Ava stood stiff in front of the final shelf, boxing up the rest of the fabrics.
“Sophie didn’t say a word to me this morning,” she started, turning to me. “She got up, ate, and left with you like I wasn’t there.”
I stood to my feet, adding the box to the pile of other boxes. “‘She was still not talking when she got into my car. But then she talked afterwards.”
