Chapter 18. Signing the Marriage Contract

Eve, who heard Allan shouting, ran towards Allan and she almost ran into Allan's back again. Fortunately, that didn't happen.

"Why?" Eve asked.

But Allan didn't answer her; he just fell silent looking around his messy apartment. And turned to Eve who was also confused.

"Did we get robbed?" asked Eve while covering her mouth.

Allan blinked his eyes when he heard the word 'We' coming out of Eve's mouth. It wasn't the question that was asked but the look on Eve's face that he saw. Why did it feel like he had heard the word before? But it was so long ago. A long time ago!

"Sorry, what I meant was, were you robbed?" Eve corrected her sentence when she saw the look on Allan's face, she was worried that Allan would take offense because she had been so presumptuous to mention the word 'we' in front of him.
