“The whole contract… when it is over, how do we break it up without having to be dragged all around the internet?”
The perfect question right there. A question she should have asked that same day the contract was awarded.
“That is your problem now. I get married, get what I want, pay you, and the rest is up to you.”
Was he serious? He really was going to leave everything to her.
“Reynolds…” This was the first time she ever called him by his name since the contract. It felt weird as it came out of her mouth. He looked at her and faced the road.
“What?”
“I mean, we need to make a proper plan. I—”
“You think I do not have all those planned out? You really are a dumpy.” He laughed. “The internet and people will always talk. And sooner or later, it will all be forgotten like it never happened. So enjoy the fame while it lasts—and maybe the hateful comments when you decide to leave.”
“What?” He chuckled. Even his funny jokes sounded serious
