“He sent her the money to get all dummy.” He tapped her forehead.
“He is right. Reynolds paid for all these. I got stuff for you both.”
Helen’s and Tony’s jaws dropped.
“He also said the engagement party is tomorrow.”
“So soon? Don’t you think it’s way too early?”
“It’s now or never. I honestly want to get into it and just get out as soon as possible,” she told him.
“But I haven’t even told my friends,” Tony said.
“You want to invite your hooligan friends to such a sophisticated party? Do you want to ruin the engagement? Huh?” Helen teased Tony.
“You are becoming too troublesome, Helen,” he said, trying to chase and hit her, but she ran in circles around the small living room. Alicia couldn’t help but smile at how happy they were. She wouldn’t trade her family for the world. They were the main reason she was doing all she was doing—their smiles and happiness meant everything to her. Gladly she would lay her life to save theirs.
