Chapter 31
Elsewhere, two weeks after the incident.
The haze of smoke, the strong scent of nicotine, the dim lights, and the creak of the large chair's wheels, now burdened by his weight, created a dreadful symphony. A furious rage akin to a hungry wolf that hadn't caught prey in the past few days.
"You're all idiots!!!" He ignored the pain in his clenched fists. The glass-covered table cracked in a pitiful way. The slowly spreading pain and discomfort, he ignored, because truly, just thinking about the real failure in front of him was enough to make his blood boil.
"Just a little kid, and you still can't find her?" he asked of all of them standing on both sides, forming a neat line, but with tense and genuinely fearful expressions etched on their faces.
"That kid is on the brink of death. How could she possibly escape? You guys... for God's sake! ALL OF YOU ARE MORONS!!!"
