Chapter 29

May was busy working on her laptop, she was so into what she was doing that she didn't even notice when Mike walked into her department and came to stand behind her.

He bent down a little and whispered. "What are you working on?"

May who was startled mistakingly slapped his face before jumping up in freight.

"Ouch!" Mike hissed in pain.

When May saw him she covered her mouth. "I... I'm so sorry, you startled me, I didn't mean to hit you." She apologized.

"It's fine, I just didn't want to speak so loud and bother the other workers." Mike replied. 

May looked around to see the other workers staring at them, she apologized for the noise and they all went back to what they were doing.

"Come with me." She took Mike's hand and dragged him away.

When they got outside her department, she let him go, something Mike wasn't pleased about since he missed the contact the moment she let go of his hand.
