Chapter 67

Adams was busy working when his phone rang, he picked up his phone to check who it was but realized he doesn't recognize the number, he wanted to ignore the call but changed his mind.

"Hello." He said when he answered the call.

The person on the other end didn't say anything for a while, Adams got confused, he removed the phone from his ear to check if the call was still connected and it was.

"Hello?" He repeated and this time the person answered.

"Hello." 

Adams eyes widen in shock as he recognized the all too familiar voice which he knows by heart.

"A...Alicia." Adams stood up from his chair.

"I hope I didn't disturb you."

"Of course not, you didn't disturb me at all, you can call me anytime, any day, it's not a bother."

"Are you free? Can we meet up?" She asked softly.

Adams was surprised by this, he never expected her to call him, talk more of wanting to meet up. "Of course, just tell me where, I'll come over immediately.
