Chapter 25. The Girl I Once
Chelsea shudders—as if cringing. Then she suddenly changes the subject. “Uh… anyways. I’m taking Eryis to school. You better hurry and meet Christopher before we lose this chance.” She makes to leave but suddenly halts on the threshold before looking over her shoulder at me. “Ah. Oh, try not to fall in love with him.”
I raise my brows at her. “He’s engaged, Chelsea. We’re just friends.”
“Friends? Hm.” She tilts the corners of her lips down in a mocking stare. “Just saying.”
I finish up my makeup few minutes after Chelsea leaves.
My outfit for today has to do with a beige high-waited maxi skirt and a silk baggy long-sleeved shirt—roughly tucked into the skirt and left open at the three chest buttons.
