Chapter 26. Face My Past
Christopher said to take a quick shower. Now I have to endure my fucking ears bleeding from his fiancee’s rambles while having to digest the fact that I’m the center of Vietili’s curious stare.
At a point, I couldn’t handle it anymore.
“Uh… excuse me. I’m sorry. Could you please point me to the restroom?” I tell Saltusa who abruptly stops talking and smiles.
“This way,” she points her thumb at the arched entrance behind her. “By your right, you’ll find the guest toilet.”
“Thank you.”
Following Saltusa’s directions, I stand in front of the bathroom sink, holding it while leaning down to rest my weight on it.
I didn’t realize how unprepared I was to face my past. And it’s worse since I’ll be heading for Country Zee next week.
