I never understood how much nostalgia snow can drive in someone until I found myself standing under its showers.

The lights in Tara’s home were on by the time I arrived. Ringing the doorbell, I was answered by a rather strange lady who looked at me like I haunted her dreams.

“Tara won’t see you,” she noted crudely, leaving me confused.

“She asked me to co—”

“I know. She still won’t see you.” Then the door slammed shut to my face.

I remained where I stood, utterly flabbergasted by the attitude.
