With Christmas gone, the New Years followed. But since Mellow’s death, Tara refused to celebrate New Years for a reason—it’s only the end of a year, not really the end of a period in one’s life.

However, despite that I ditched him in the snow a few days ago, Zeath sends me a letter inviting Eryis and I to his company’s new year ball.

Left to me alone, I won’t attend. But Eryis seems to be down, seeing as she hasn’t met her friend—or sister—Nectar for a long time now. So maybe I have to attend for her sake alone.

Chelsea hasn’t visited since our argument last time, while Cross came from time to time to check on Eryis and I.

I dress up in an ox-blood maxi gown with corset waist and puffed sleeves, topping it with a wide hat and a matching shoe before leaving with Eryis.
