Chapter 63. Mixed Feelings
“Since you’re bothered by Mama Tia’s involvement—and I must admit, I am too—how about we give her a visit?” I finally find my words, breaking the silence, “this time we go formally; no sneaking in.”
Zeath smiles, but it doesn’t reach his eyes. “She tried to kill us before. She would do it again.”
“Then we take backup. Like er… a camera or a… defense mechanism; something that’ll stop her from attacking us.”
Zeath remains silent once again, causing me to sigh as I make to start the car, until his voice stops me.
“Mama Tia values her reputation,” he mutters, “a camera would be better.” Zeath looks at me with the same stoic smile on his face—chills zip down my spine at that. “I have a friend in the news agency who can help us set that up. If Mama Tia harms us, it goes viral.”
