Chapter 62. A Plus One

At the reception, everyone was having a good time. Edward and Lia sat close to each other, Lia's head under Edward's neck, his hand around her waist. They watched their relatives and friends dance and do anything they wanted.

"I can't wait for tonight," Lia said as she squeezed Edward's bicep, hinting at something that made Edward laugh.

"Don't worry, love, since I'm so prepared for tonight," Edward said seductively, Lia's lips parted in wonder.

"Do we really have to wait? Can't we just leave them here while we do our thing?"
