I could tell from a distance that Martha was forcing things. I thought Victor was the one hugging her unfortunately it was the opposite. Martha was busy using her friendship card with Victor to get her way. I didn’t disturb them because they were obvious to my presence. I stood in one place as I watched what was going on in front of me

“You don’t have to worry…I’m always here for you Vic” Martha said innocently and moved away from Victor who was standing there like a statue. He didn’t even look at her. I watched in anticipation, not sure why some women liked forcing things. It wasn’t right to hallucinate or want something which was out of their reach

“Vic…is everything okay…do you want me to make your favorite food….you must be exhausted after a long day” Martha added when Victor didn’t reply. It was surprising to see her so concerned about him. She never got so close to him before and now she was clinging to him like a leech
