Monica sighed as she pushed the door open, there was a nurse inside arranging sheets around Janice

Walking in, she exhaled silently and walked to the bed. The nurse saw her and nodded slightly

“Is he okay?” Monica asked in a low tone not wanting to disturb the patient

“For now the doctor gave him a sedative to keep him down… other than that he’s faring okay,” the nurse said with a smile and walked away from her. Monica nodded and scanned Janice, lying helplessly in the narrow hospital bed.

“Please call me if anything happens,” the nurse said and left the room. Scanning her surroundings. Monica didn’t know why hospitals didn’t do much for her. The white-painted room smelled like medicine and chlorine of some sort. Turning her gaze back to Janice
