Darius’s POV
The Vatico always had a thing about it. Maybe it was in the ancient scent of the room or the air of arrogance and authority that floated about it. This room had existed since the days of the first Salvatores. The sanctuary of decision-making.
“There’s something about it, right?” Elektra joined me as I admired the ancient carvings and sculptures.
I didn’t tear my eyes away from the sights as I answered my sister. “Indeed there is. Ancient art is unbeatable.”
Elektra laughed beside me. “Ironic how the humans and maculares think of us as ancients, but we see the first vampires as ancients.”
