Chapter 35
Fallon’s POV
I felt bad for the dead girls. A sign that I was becoming weak and drifting further away from the assassin I used to be.
I was right when I said the havoc would distract the castle from my scandal, but it came at a great cost.
Ashley sniffed beside me; it only tripled my guilt. The death of the girls was a big mourning for every blood bag, and yet they were forced to attend this excuse of a funeral for the elites. They knew the girls were innocent, but still, they ended them to make up for their inability to get the real murderer, me.
What is wrong with you, Fallon? When did you become soft-hearted?
The long funeral finally came to an end. Like any other blood bag, I was in too much of a hurry to escape the midst of the wolves into the comfort of my room.
As I walked past the room of one of the dead girls, memories of me sneaking in and out hit me hard.
What was wrong with me?
“Hey, Ash, go on. I’ll see you later.”<
