Darius’s POV
The world might have come to a stop the second I saw her. She was wearing a floral dress that made her look like the sun had decided to bathe her in its glory. Her hair was weaved in two, resting at her neck. How long had it been since I saw her? Days, weeks?
There was no trace of the injuries that tainted her skin the last time I saw her. She looked like Fallon, my little fire, and for a second, it was almost like that incident never happened. But her squared face and vengeful eyes snapped me back to reality.
“There you are. I was wondering when you would finally grace us with your presence,” Isabelle’s mocking voice reminded me she was around.
We were in my private dining room where she wouldn’t stop asking me things about the wedding, and apparently, she had also sent for Fallon.
Fallon’s eyes moved from the table of fruits and wine to Isabelle and then to me. She gave me a humble bow. “You sent for me, master.”
