Chapter 72
Fallon’s POV
“They’ve come to kill me,” I thought as I heard the clash outside my cell.
There was silence before the shuffling of keys, and my cell door opened with loud force. Even if I tried to run, I couldn’t.
So I lay there waiting for what was to come. Instead of danger, I found Rodolfo’s face smiling at me.
“Hey, you,” he said as he scooped me into his hands. With me in his arms, he walked out of the room.
“You came for me,” I muttered, barely audible.
He laughed softly, “Who else but me?”
Someone coughed. Another wave of surprise hit me as I found Etan staring at us. His jaw tightened in anger at the sight of me, probably because of how bad I looked.
I offered him a small smile. He walked to us, a water bottle in hand. How does he always know what to do at the right time?
Rodolfo set me down and used his hand to support me while I leaned against the wall. I’ve never wanted to drink more water in my life. I finished
