Fallon’s POV

I was in a room. That was the first realization that came to mind as I jerked up in alertness.

“You’re awake,” a very familiar voice said.

My eyes snapped towards the figure, taking in the whole room at once. He was smiling. I jumped out of the bed.

“How are you feeling?” he asked, taking steps towards me.

I snapped at him. “Where’s my daughter?”

His smile dissolved, and his true self emerged in his hard face. “You’re not happy to see me.”

“Are you crazy? Where the fuck is my daughter, you monster? What did you do to her?”

His face fell into a deeper frown. “I don’t want to share your love with anyone. If you’re going to give this much attention to her, then she’ll have to die.”
